The prayer room for Hindus is known as “Mandir Room or Puja Room”. Mandir is referred to a place where Hindus go to worship Gods in the form of various deities. Many traditional Mandir rooms are filled with wooden and stone arts. A Mandir is a spiritual place for Hindus. Traditional Prayer Room Design Layouts include Murtis which are stone or wooden images and are believed to be infused with the divine presence of god. They are daily worshipped with aarti's and other ceremonies. The direction in which the Murtis are placed is prefixed as per Vaastu Shastra, and provision is made on wall to hang picture frames for other Gods too, apart from their main God to be worshipped. Intricately carved wooden doors (Jali Doors), Lattice Doors with small bells embedded, decorative wooden pillars, white marble flooring with semi precious stones floral design inlays also form a part of Traditional Mandir room design. Contemporary Prayer Room Design Layouts include a minimal décor like a single murti or idol and spacious space dedicated for meditation. Provision is also made for carpeted flooring, audio and acoustics treatment for maximum silence. Some Small Prayer Room Design layouts include a beautifully carved wooden Mandir in which all deities are placed and decorative pillars are placed.
